Panonski drvni centar kompetencija (PDCK)
Pannonian Competence Centre for Wood (PCCW)
Pannonian Competence Centre for Wood provides services to small and medium businesses from wood-processing sector in Croatia and the region, in all phases of final wood products development (i.e. products with high added value) with an emphasis on innovation.
In addition to research and development of products of wood and related industries, the Centre offers services of technology transfer to small and medium size businesses and services of prototype development for innovative wood products, service of product design, services of packaging designs for wood products and products of related industries, services of business consulting and brands creation. PCCW is imagined as a link between researchers, local community and industry in order to develop innovative wood products and provision of services to entrepreneurs in the wood processing sector.
The concept behind the PCCW logotype is based on lumber as a basic construction element behind wood production. We imagined lumber as sticks and the beginning of playful creation. Sticks are used to make models and prototypes, they can form many different shapes and in the form of a PCCW symbol they represent creativity and construction. They can become anything — a chair, a lamp, a toy or even a house. The logo's primary shape is the tree, a symbol of growth.
The main users of PCCW are designers, entrepreneurs — all creatives in our eyes. The center is a place where their ideas are turned into reality — PCCW is their collaborator and assistant. That's why the visual identity is approachable and friendly.
