Korta Katarina
Visual Identity | Label Design
Korta Katarina is a state of the art winery in the south of Croatian coast owned by a billionaire Lee R. Anderson. The winery makes approximately 40000 bottles of internationally awarded wines annually, 18000 of which are exported to the USA. Their winery and wine labels needed a visual identity that would communicate the superior quality of their enterprise. The account was awarded to Brandoctor in 2009.

Their winery and wine labels needed a visual identity that would communicate the superior quality of their enterprise. The account was awarded to Brandoctor in 2009.
It was decided to make a label that uses traditional wine design elements and clearly communicates finest wines. This is achieved through specific illustration of the winery, well-chosen, appropriate typography and careful composition. Based on the conceptual sketches I developed, illustrator Davor Rukovanjski produced the lovely line art of their estate as well as the grapes in the Korta Katarina logo. The logo was embossed and foil stamped in silver. Printed on matte, slightly textured paper of high whiteness, the label looks as sophisticated as the wine itself.
In 2013. the label (fonts, illustrations, etc.) were unfortunately modified by a different design studio.
