Phonart is a network connecting 4 European art organizations who provide a platform for new interdisciplinary art works & performances connected to creative traditions from minority and marginal ethnic and cultural groups. Phonart aims to connect contemporary and traditional artists from Austria, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Croatia, supporting European creativity and cultural research, and encouraging multiplicity, genre and border-crossing initiatives in interdisciplinary art practices with an emphasis on cultural diversity.
We hand designed a logo which portrayed a connection between different types of human communication. The client loved the imperfect, human quality of the sign. Our Phonart involvement ended with a design of the hardcover book containing essays, poems and photos from the artists involved in this wonderful multicultural project.
